Connecting your Instagram profiles is tricky due to platform's policy and API restrictions & complications. However, scheduling your content through the platform gives its benefits that overweight possible inconveniences 🙃

This article's purpose is to guide you through the troubles you might face. Here are step by step troubleshooting advises on resolving the possible issues.

Well, since you are here. Then something probably went wrong. Take a deep breath and follow along. Just in case, you can always contact us and we will figure it out together. 

First, let's check if your Instagram Business profile is connected to a Facebook Page:

Step 1: Open Instagram app on your mobile.

Step 2: On your profile, tap "Edit Profile".

Step 3: Under "Public Business Information Section", find "Page".

Step 4: Please be sure your profile is already connected to a Facebook page. If you don't see a connected Facebook Page – it's done. We have probably discovered the main issue. In this case, you'll need to switch your Business profile to Personal and then reconvert it back to Business. This time make sure you connect the right Facebook Page. (It is similar to restarting your phone or laptop when it lags.)

My profile is already connected to a Facebook page but still I cannot connect my profile with What should I do?

On the second stage you need to ensure that you have the" Admin or Editor Role" on the Facebook Page that is connected to your Instagram account:

Step 1: Open your Facebook Page 🙂

Step 2: Find Settings at the right top corner and then click "Page Roles" in the left menu.

Step 3: Scroll down to "Existing Page Roles". You need to have an "Admin" or "Editor" role to connect the Instagram Business profile to the

In case you don't have the permission, please contact any other Admin and ask them to grant you the role. Or alternatively, ask them to connect Instagram to themselves. (So, you are free and have time to make a coffee 🙃)

If you had the Instagram Business profile connected to a Facebook Page AND you do have the Admin or Editor role. We are moving to last step. Ta-da! 

Head over to Facebook and navigate to Settings and then Business Integrations (or just click this link). should be listed in the Integration area. Weirdly, but you need to remove it from there so simply tick the checkbox and then click Remove*.

*After this process, you'll also need to update your access tokens for your Facebook and Instagram pages which already connected to  😅 Yes, we know it's a bit work but sorry, it's Instagram's policy 😞
